I have a stat test tomorrow!!! i should be studying right now but...i'm not! lol i'm psyched about Carolina's win tonight. I'm may be going to the next Duke at Carolina game..yum :)

little jilly's?!?!

sooooo those who know me, or even follow my blog know that i may just be one of the biggest  fans of Jill Scott. Period. I love her in every way!!! Anyways, the news dropped today that Jilly is preggers by her new fiancee'! They didn't waste any time did they? Anyways... She is actually very far along...she is due in late April! I'm having mixed emotions because I'm worried Jill won't have any music out anytime soon :( I guess I'm a selfish fan. But congrats!!

hey kiddies!!!

sorry i've been MIA, school is hectic  and busy at times, but i'm making it!

i'm going to kansas city Wednesday for a Convention! I'm excited.  I was kinda upset because they do Halloween big here at colleges here in NC (not mine bc my school is WACK! get that later), I was planning on visiting my friends or seeing Lil'Wayne in concert at home but...he cancelled the concert (surprise.) so I guess I didn't have to decide.

 my plan for Kansas City is to: 

1. sleep in every day

2. go to my minimum of 3 workshops a day

3. live it up

although i'm living the broke college life as of late because my checks from my job this summer have stopped coming. I don't know whats really in Kansas City, i wiki'd KC but I didnt find much lol i was told they had good barbeque?

Yea..my school is so wack! Joe Biden was on campus last week for a public rally and the school didn't think it was important to tell the students. What's up with that? And the Beastie Boys, Cheryl Crow and Santogold were doing a rally on campus today. I really wanted to see Santogold, but I had class...I later found out she didn't show up so I wasn't too upset.

I don't know about you but I feel like Thanksgiving is sooooo far away. I miss my friends and my families soo much it makes no sense. I've been trying to talk to my Mom like everyday lol but I dont think she is getting the point

I can't believe my sister has been in Italy for almost 2 months! I talked to her last night! I miss her muchos grandes.

It's really cold here in Charlotte! I need someone to cuddle huggle with (sigh)

i have a test tomorrow boooo but after that I'll probably be preparing to head outfor my trip this week! hollaaaaa

3 days 'til home

my car died this weekend. well not like forever, but currently.

i can't get to my internship in the morning. i have people i can call but I feel bad telling someone to come pick me up at 7:30.

but i laughed.

laughed 'til it hurt.

(not really about my car bc i actually almost cried about that bc i was so frustrated)

did alot of work.

did little sleeping.

ready to go home, need to go home, wanna go home.

not sure what to expect for my fall break, no real plans yet but i guess i like it that way.

i miss my sister! and you. and you. and maybe you too lol

Frank, the author and creator of Post Secret is going to be at East Carolina University tonight! I want to go sooo bad, but ECU is 4 hours away from me here at school! He was only an hour away at Wake Forest University last week but I was super busy. Post Secret is an anonymous community where people send in their most craziest/sadest/funniest/raunchiest secrets on regular index cards. Frank posts every Sunday. I always wake up Sunday morning and check www.postsecret.com first! You may have seen me post some of the post cards on my blog before...if you are in the area, please go for me!

I picked out of a few of my favorites! These people definitely have their own stories behind them..but I thought they stood out to me. I keep saying I'm going to send my own postcard in..

i check my mail everday in hopes of getting mail too. i did get a fabulous refund check today tho :)

i woke up this weekend and my first thought was "i want to go home"

i haven't had that thought in a while. At least I don't remember. I don't know why I even't want to go home! Besides my parents, there is no one at home! My sis is miles and miles across the world. Speaking of, technology is amazing! I've spoke to my sister almost 3 times on the phone and chat all the time with her on googlechat via my blackberry! So neat. If you wanna see her awesome pics of her trip..check her blog out here.

I'm still trying to get into the swing of things here at school. My days are sooo long between class, being editor of our Black Student Union magazine and still writing for my school's newspaper. I haven't been feeling well lately so that kinda stinks too. I'm working hard tho...I know this will all pay off soon, hopefully sooner than later.

if i were at home i'd like to :

go to hayes barton. although i went right before my sister left, you can never get enough of HB!

find a chair and other furniture for my apartment! it's so boring. my walls are white. i have a nice poster that was a gift but its on my floor still bc i don't have a hammer! and the chair with my desk is PAINFUL! so bad that its been forcing me to study in bed...which is not so effective, you know.

sleep with Romeo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! For those close to me, you know who this is lol. Long story short...romeo (see above) is a teddy my mom gave me when i was like 11 or 12! He is pretty disgusting now and dirty. I sleep with him everynight. Well, i left him at home because I feel like i'm a little too old to be sleeping with teddy bears...but at least it's not a guy everynight, right?!? just looking at this makes me sad (sigh) miss u booboolol

self explanatory. but you have to go late when the freaks come out!!!

I started school last week and it's been crazy busy here around these parts! Between moving into my apartment, planning and executing lots for my university's Black Student Union and telling my sister bye :(, i've been quite busy. I have to admit, I have been working hard and think its gonna be great year!!!

My Labor Day weekend was very pleasant spent some much time needed with many of my girlfriends, my family and some other special kiddies :) well one but whatever.

For those just tuning in...my sister left for Italy on Tuesday of this week! She's gonna be gone for farr too long so I promised her many pics throughout the next few months. Here are a *few* of me and some of my favorite people back here in Charlotte....

Thanks Mr. West, for kicking off the summer with the one of the best concert's ever...and supplying my motto for summer '08: "grab a drink, holla at some (boys) and party b*tch!!!" which became amazingly true! lol

to my sis...(who is obviously too cool for this earth by looking at this pic) for giving me a place to crash! and many fun times and hillarious stories..please don't leave.


my job in the financial aid office at wtcc...made my heart weak when i became numb to sob stories and people who couldn't afford education, or my heart hurt when 21 year old single mothers were being shipped to iraq with a weekend's notice. nevertheless, it kept my mind strong.

although our seperation this summer was painful..the occasional random midweek sleepovers made me forget it all. This summer made me a few of those moments where I realized we were beyond best friends esp when I realized how hurt I was when you got your tattoo without me and when I couldn't sleep until you got back that morning in VA beach! It's gonna be a great year for us both...no worries.

didn't see you much this summer but we'll make it back here someday...maybe we can use the field to take off on my spaceship?

from running sprints on the moving sidewalks in the airport to you just making it with your broken ankle...stop worrying. You're gonna take Duke by a (red)storm. Just as long as you bring your t-shirt...

how come we were mutual friends of our 580489 friends for so long?? Don't know if I would have made it this summer without ya...that's a fact. I love you more than Ms.Annette, Goldilocks and Ms. Bev love cigs! Tell ECU to be ready when I come down and give them the business...
